What is it?

Our grant scheme covers 25% of eligible costs of projects of at least £4,000. 

 

The minimum grant amount is £1,000 and the maximum is £5,000. To receive a grant of £5,000 the total project cost will be at least £20,000. In other words, for every £100 you spend, you receive £25 back.

Eligible project costs include capital equipment, new premises works and fitting, new digital capability adoption, and outsourcing of expertise.

We are keen to support Dorset businesses who are looking to

_ Create and/or safeguard jobs.

_ Create new products.

_ Create new or improve processes.

Is my business eligible?

You are eligible if….

_ The business is registered in Dorset, and be trading successfully for at least 12 months.

_ The business is an SME – with less than 250 staff and annual turnover less than €50 million.

_ You don’t work in these sectors - Agriculture (primary production & processing of agricultural products, banking and insurance (inc. brokers), fisheries and aquaculture, steel production, shipbuilding, synthetic fibres, public sector or publicly owned organisations.

_ You must not have been in financial difficulty prior to 31st December 2019.

Step 2 – Grant Panel

Your completed application along with supporting documents will be submitted to our impartial panel, who assess the application. We aim to give you a decision within two weeks.

Step 1 – Application

Read guidance document in full, complete application and business registration forms and supporting documentation. The application should be completed in collaboration with one of our Business Growth Consultants who guide you through the process.

Step 3 – Grant Offer

If your application is approved, we will e-mail you a Grant Offer Letter, Funding Agreement and Terms and Conditions which need to be signed and returned (electronically) before the project can commence.

Step 4 – Project Completion & Payment 

On project completion, you will need to provide us with copies of invoices from suppliers, along with bank statements and an invoice from the business to us, so we can make the payment. We will make the payment once sufficient evidence is received.
